I'm down in the valley!

I'm here............over here........yep there I am. I am so sorry for being missing in action. I have been in a real funk lately. Without going in to details, I have been wanting to have a pity party but noone will come! So I have decided to cancel the party and just get over myself and deal with things the way that the Lord would want me to.And just when I think I am getting over myself another trial has came into our lives.I ask that each and every one of you please keep my family in your prayers.I know there is always a reason the Lord put us thru a trial, so that we can give it all to him and he will see us thru and see that our faith in him is real.

Life is easy, when your up on the mountain

And you've got peace of mind

Like you've never known

But then things change and your down in the valley

Don't lose hope for your never alone


For the God on the mountain is still God in the valley

When things go wrong He'll make them right

And the God of the good times, is still God of the bad times

But its down in the valley of trials and temptations

That's where faith is really put to the test

I love this song and I need to remember these words because this is what I need now.I have so many things to share with you all. I'm Back!

Good Morning all,
I sure did miss you all. We had a wonderful trip to Warrenton Virginia this weekend. Robbie's (DH) oldest sister celebrated her 50th B-day this past weekend. We seen alot of family members we haven't seen in awhile and plus going back "home" was nice. Warrenton is in Northern Virginia near D.C. I was born and raised there in a city called Manassas. Some of you may know it as where the Battle of Bull Run was. I had my first two sons there and when I was pregnant with our 3rd son "Beau" was when we moved from there. I am going to share a few pics with all of you. And by the way...I am feeling so much better. Thanks to all!!

Robbie and I love to watch "Diners Drive Ins and Dives" on the food network channel. And we had seen this place featured on there in Charlotte N.C

It is called the Bar B Q King. So we stopped off by there and ordered some of their BBQ chicken.

It was so good!! Robbie said that their coleslaw was probably the best he had tasted. I don't like coleslaw so I gave him mine.

We then headed on to Virginia. It was an 8 hour trip. But Robbie and I love to talk so we kept the conversation going.

This is a pic of Robbie and 2 of his sisters-Angela is on the left and the B-day girl Wanda is in the center.He has another sister Bonnie but, she was not able to make it.

We are all going to try to plan a trip for the whole family in Bald Head Island NC next year sometime. I am looking forward to it!

Having problems with site!

Hey everyone!!
I am still down for the count! But I went on here today because my friend kath emailed me this a.m about her poem on her site @ The Olde Weeping Cedar more... and I went under my dashboard and it is not showing that she had a post for today. It is showing her old post from Monday! But when I manually go to her site I see the new post. Sometimes I think this has been happening to me with some of you guy's sites that I have been following,because I will just sometimes see when your last post was and see you had a new one that I didn't know about. Can anyone help me?? Is something going on with blogger or is it me??? She is still listed under my favs and as one I am following.I do not want to be missing anyones posts!! HELP!!

Not a Good Week!

Just wanted to check in and let everyone know that I won't be posting this week. Right now I am getting sick with the sinus thingy! Yuck!! And Friday A.M. we will be leaving for Warrenton Virginia for my SIL 50th B-Day. So I have alot of stuff to get done here around the house.I have to take things to GW (and maybe check some things out too HE! HE!) I need to put some things in the dry cleaners,clean house all the time going thru this sickness.I feel like not doing anything and climbing in the bed with the covers over my head and sleep,sleep,sleep! But this is the real world and I can't do that. So,onward I go. I will be checking on everyones site this week because I can't stay completely away! But I hope everyone has a Blessed week and maybe I'll have some good stuff to share when I get back.

Hello all! I, or I should say WE had a wonderful weekend.We (hubby and I) went ATV"ing in Georgia. It is in the NE part of Georgia called "Durhamtown" We had so much fun and was very sore!! We met up with a friend who my DH works with named Nate and his wife Beth and 2 of their 3 children. Me and Beth hit it off really well. She taught me how to basket weave and I am attempting to make a bowl..we'll see how that turns out LOL!!

Look What I did!

O.K. everyone hold onto your seats...... but I attempted some salt dough bowl fillers last night. I read up on every recipe that was out there I think. I have seen better but I'm just glad that I attempted them and they turned out A- O.K. I'm proud of them and i know i will get better with them the more that I do. It also has given me the confidence to go ahead and try some stitching.(Little baby steps) I also want to try the candy canes,the grudge silicone lights, the grudge taper candles, the grudge candlesticks, the grudge EVERYTHING LOL LOL. Here are some pics that I attempted to take as I was going thru the process.

Watcha Working on Wednesday

I won a giveaway over at Tammy's Country Girl at Home. I was so excited when I heard the news. I called everyone I knew and I know half of them thought I was crazy.So, anyhoo I was outside yesterday doing my yard work and the mail lady pulled up in the driveway and told me I had a package. Good Morning everyone,

I am going to be very busy today so I just wanted to share a little "something" with my friends. I live in a beautiful area of the upstate of South Carolina and wanted to share a few pictures of some special places here. We are considered the" lake and mountain country" here. One of the things that I think is so awesome is that we are surrounded by beautiful waterfalls. Here are a few pics
