It's crazy around here and I am tired but I have really enjoyed it.Today is my son's Birthday- Happy Birthday Robbie-and we are having a party for him here today. Him and his family are here and will be leaving tomorrow to head back to Charleston and my sister and her family and my mother and father are in from Ma. and will be heading back Saturday. So I just wanted to let you all know I have missed you all and hopefully will be back on here Monday. Have a Happy New Years. And may you all have a blessed day!

Happy Anniversary!

Today is my oldest son Robbie Jr and his wife Nikki's 4th anniversary. I just wanted to tell them HAPPY ANNIVERSARY and I pray that they end up having 100 more! This is dedicated to them today!

This was when they first met. Robbie was in the air force and had came home for his youngest brothers (Beau) graduation. He had decided at that time to go to senior week with Beau "so Beau would stay out of trouble" The seniors here go to Myrtle Beach S.C to celebrate this. And this is where he met Nikki. She had grown up thru school with Beau.
(She is going to kill me for showing this pic)

And this is their beautiful family today!

Congrats you guys.

May the Lord keep you and guide you as you go through this journey in your life.

My Dinner Party

Good morning everyone!
First of all I wanted to say Thank-you for all the prayers that went out for Kath! The powers of prayers! God is so good!

I also wanted to share a little bit of of our Christmas dinner that we had Friday night. We had a wonderful time and it was so fun fellowshipping with our friends and family. On a sad note 3 couples could not make it.The 1st couple Jason and Jennifer are expecting their first child and Jennifer is having a hard time with morning and evening sickness. She was wanting to bring something to the party (even though I told everyone NO!) and while she was fixing it the smell made her sick! Poor thing I felt so sorry for her! The 2nd couple was Matthew and Rhonda...Matthew works at one of our local grocery chains (Ingles) and did not get off until 7:00 pm and he said he was beat! So I can sympathize with that. And our 3rd couple Keith and Addie could not make it because they had just gotten word that Keith's uncle had just died in a fiery car crash! May God be with this family. I am sad that these 3 couples could not make it but, I totally understood each and everyone of their reasons. I will have another one at some other point and time and they will be invited. They all are such a Blessing in our lives.
But we did have a total of 10 adults and 4 children here. And we had a wonderful time! I asked Robbie to take a few pictures of the food and some of our guests. And that's what he did....he took a few!!!
While I was still in the kitchen getting all the food prepared to come out he went about and took a picture of the following. From L to R- Back....
Mary Terry- our pastors wife and my good friend!
Catherine Cantrell and Virginia Williamson-on front row-Seth Terry,Emmaline Terry and Makaylah Terry

This is our pastor Brian Terry taking
a few pictures.

Here is a picture of the table that was setup. Not all of the foods were set on the table yet. But I received nothing but compliments on all of my recipes. And I want to Thank each and everyone of you for your ideas that you gave me. The menu consisted of the following-Cranberry punch (that was given to me by ohiofarmgirl) Vegetable tray,Meatballs (from Kath)
Chicken wings, baked caramel brie (from Sandy Toes) pigs in the blankets, chips and dip, pretzels, homemade fudge, cream cheese stuffed strawberries, spinach dips w/crackers,roasted pecans and crabbed stuffed mushrooms

Here is the last of our "few" pics. Mary will be sending me more later this week. This is standing-Travis Williamson and sitting-Virgil Cantrell

After we ate we played a game called "Apples to Apples" you can purchase this boardgame at Walmart. If you have never heard of it or played it I recommend you getting this,. We all had a blast playing it.
Well, that is all for now. I hope everyone has a blessed day!

God Will Make This Trial a Blessing

Originally recorded by the McKameys

VERSE 1
I’ve just come into a valley one like I’ve never been before
I keep searching for a way out seems like padlocks are on the doors
Oh there must be another sunrise another sunset that I’ll see
God will make this trial a blessing that’s the love He has for me
CHORUS
God will make this trial a blessing though it sends me to my knees
Though my tears flow like a river yet in Him there’s sweet relief
There’s no need to get discouraged there’s no need to talk defeat
God will make this trial a blessing and the whole wide world will see
VERSE 2
I was not the first one to come into this place
You see every child of God this test he must face
It is here that God will mold you and make you what you ought to be
God will make this trial a blessing just be patient you will see
VERSE 3
Now I’m standing on the mountain looking back and I can see
When I was in that lowest valley His strong hand was leading me
Oh it’s good to see the sunshine and to taste sweet victory
God has made this trial a blessing oh the grace He gives to me

I need Help Everyone!

O.K. everyone, As I stated in my last entry I am having a dinner party next Friday for about 8 couples. And my hubby and I have decided instead of fixing a dinner we will be having finger foods. So what I need help with is getting some ideas for preferably some make ahead recipes. The reason I say make ahead is because I don't want to be in that kitchen at the last minute finishing up 6 different foods. I also need some suggestions on non alcoholic drinks and any desserts. Now, I know that all my friends out there can give me some sort of suggestions and I do appreciate it.So come on gals help a sista out! Thanks so much. Oh and don't forget I won't be here tomorrow because I am going to my first craft fair tomorrow. I am so excited. I will be coming back with pics and hopefully some goodies! Have a blessed day!

New Awards!

First off I want to thank all of you for keeping me in your prayers. I am feeling so much better. And I cannot start feeling bad!! I need to get thru this and move on. I have so much to do! Friday the preachers wife (Mary) and me are going to a craft fair in Greenville. We have heard so much about it and are real excited about going. I will be sharing pics with you all. And then Friday evening we are having a ladies Christmas get together for the ladies of our church.
Mary has asked me to show all the women how to make one of my garlands. So I have to get all of that together. She wants me to have little stations set up for the process of making the garland. She said "You know like all your friends do on the blogging world" She is such a blessing and I have to laugh, but I totally understand because I am a hands-on person.
Oh I almost forgot, and then next Friday I am having a Christmas dinner with about 8 couples from our church. It will be my first "dinner party" and I am so excited. So you see I don't have time to be laid out!

Monday December 1st

Hello all! I hope that each of you have had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We really enjoyed spending time with our loved ones. Having the grandchildren here this weekend was a blessing. We ate lots of food and goodies! Also me and Nikki (DIL) went to Hobby Lobby and stayed there for a couple of hours and then met up with the guys for dinner. She doesn't have a Hobby Lobby in Charleston so she fell in love with it!
I have been really struggling with pain this week and if it doesn't get any better I am going to have to go to the Dr.
I have a condition that is called Interstitial cystitis. It is very painful and sometimes very hard to deal with. So, I wanted to let everyone know that I don't know how much you will hear from me this week because of this but, I also wanted to give you a little bit of info on what this is.

Interstitial cystitis (IC) is pelvic pain, pressure, or discomfort related to the bladder, typically associated with persistent urge to void or urinary frequency. IC may also be referred to as chronic pelvic pain (CPP), painful bladder syndrome (PBS), or bladder pain syndrome (BPS).

Many people with IC experience severe, chronic pain. Some feel like their insides are being cut apart with razor blades. Others compare the pain to red hot pokers stabbing at their pelvic area.

What are the causes of IC?

No one knows what causes IC. Researchers are working to learn more about it and find treatments that will ease symptoms. Right now, there is no cure for IC.

For more info on IC go to http://www.womenshealth.gov/faq/interstitial-cystitis.cfm

Well, I hope everyone has a blessed day! And please keep me in your prayers. I will try to be back on here for Wednesday.
