Some items I have been working on

Hey Everyone!!
I hope that everyone is having a fabulous week. I wanted to quickly show all of you some items I have been working on.

Here is my stitching that I finally completed. I have not gotten up the courage yet to complete a pillow so I framed it.I love stitching and can't wait to start on another one.I really would like to do some one word sayings for family members and church family.Does anyone know where I could get some samples?

Next is some snowballs and pine cones I am working on. I have not finished them yet. Sometime this evening they will be finished. I love how they have turned out so far.

I am also working on a project for dried apples and dried oranges. I hope that it works out. I am so excited!!

I want to take this time to Thank all of you for inspiring me to take the challenge and the courage to conquer these crafts. You all have given me so many ideas and in the meantime told me "you can do it" So many of you I would email or ask a stupid question and no matter how simple the question was you never once made me feel embarrassed . And I thank you for that. I love you all and keep you all in my daily prayers. I can't wait to learn more.

I love your tree stitchery! The buttons on it are cute! I've only made one pillow, but it wasn't too hard...I hand stitched it too, so I know it would be even easier on a machine...but I don't have one:( Oh well..as far as one-word sayings to stitch up, would you consider making some of your own patterns? I've made several things on my own, and they turn out great...I just draw it out on white paper and trace onto fabric. Just an idea though:) Hope you have a great weekend! <3Lauren

Juanita
Try making up a word document with words the size and style you want. Play with different sizes and letter styles till you like one. Print it out and use a light box to trace onto your fabric.

I love what you've done so far. Keep up the good work.

Hope this helps. Any questions just ask

Hi! The cookie swap. I have every woman make 6 dozen of the SAME kind of cookie. They call me and I keep a master list of what each woman makes so there are no doubles. The have to be sturdy cookies and NO no-bake kinds. I mail out invitations 3 weeks in advance....I set up my house for Christmas....I make hot cider and lots of FOOD to eat....the dining room table is where the cookies are displayed....I had 1st,2nd *3rd place winners at mine I bought little gifts from cracker barrel....when it is time to swap each woman (they need to bring their own bowl/box/plate to carry swap cookies home)goes around the table and starts picking from each tray. You have to do the math here because how many they choose depends on how many woman are at the party. So everyone walks away with 6 dozen different cookies.
Hope this makes sense to you!

Have fun!!!!

Juanita, your tree turned out beautifully. What will you do with the fruit? Are you making a garland or munchies? Or maybe both. LOL

About the one word sayings ... I just wrote up my own. Words like blessings, joy, peace, rejoice! Perfect for the season. In one of my recent posts, I showed another bloggers work of her framed words that she said took less than an hour to work up. She mounted them on homespun and framed them. They're beautiful! I hope to make some for my family members too.

Here is the link to that post:
