Watcha Working on Wednesday

Well friends I wanted to post and show you all what I have been working on lately.

First I just finished up some pantry labels in my kitchen. I was really satisfied with the way they turned out.

I got these wonderful labels from Susie over at Yankee Lane Primitives awhile back and finally started on a few.

Next I went to My favorite antique store and found a few goodies.

I'm thinking of painting this a colonial blue...what do you think?

She has about 20 more left but I don't know what I can do with them.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Well thats what I am going to be working on today. Go on over at Leslies and check out what everyone else is doing.

Hi Juanita,
Your jars turned our great! I think the bucket would look perfect in blue. I've seen the bobbins painted and tied with homespun and used as bowl fillers. Have a great day. Blessings, Loretta

The spools were a great deal, you could use a few for display on a shelf, in a basket or crock. I love them! Cant wait to see the firkin made over.

Hi Juanita, Your finds are great! I think your firkin would look very prim painted the colonial blue. I also have some of the wooden spools and I display them in a wooden bowl with a few rag balls and a second wooden bowl with a prim pin cushion.
Thank you for your sweet welcome on my new blog, I look forward to many more sharings.
Have a great day!

Juanita,
It's nice to see you back :)

Your jars look great!

I have spools and they're just tossed in a small crate. At one time they were in a box, another time in a jar...they're nice to just fill something with.

Have a great day!

Hi Juanita,
Your sure did get a good deal on the bobbins, I have mine on the top shelf of my dry sink.I liked the idea of putting them in a bowl with the rag balls like Wanda suggested.

I think the firkin would look great done in the blue, of course I'm partial to blue:)

Love your pantry jars! And the firkin is great too. I love blues!

And wow, you got a great bargain on the wooden bobbins! I have seen them go for as much as $8.00 - 10.00 each! I have a collection of them in all sizes and shapes. I have used some for candles, but right now I have a trencher filled with them. I have seen them turned into small lamps with the little silicone bulbs too. Very cute!
