My Dinner Party

Good morning everyone!
First of all I wanted to say Thank-you for all the prayers that went out for Kath! The powers of prayers! God is so good!

I also wanted to share a little bit of of our Christmas dinner that we had Friday night. We had a wonderful time and it was so fun fellowshipping with our friends and family. On a sad note 3 couples could not make it.The 1st couple Jason and Jennifer are expecting their first child and Jennifer is having a hard time with morning and evening sickness. She was wanting to bring something to the party (even though I told everyone NO!) and while she was fixing it the smell made her sick! Poor thing I felt so sorry for her! The 2nd couple was Matthew and Rhonda...Matthew works at one of our local grocery chains (Ingles) and did not get off until 7:00 pm and he said he was beat! So I can sympathize with that. And our 3rd couple Keith and Addie could not make it because they had just gotten word that Keith's uncle had just died in a fiery car crash! May God be with this family. I am sad that these 3 couples could not make it but, I totally understood each and everyone of their reasons. I will have another one at some other point and time and they will be invited. They all are such a Blessing in our lives.
But we did have a total of 10 adults and 4 children here. And we had a wonderful time! I asked Robbie to take a few pictures of the food and some of our guests. And that's what he did....he took a few!!!
While I was still in the kitchen getting all the food prepared to come out he went about and took a picture of the following. From L to R- Back....
Mary Terry- our pastors wife and my good friend!
Catherine Cantrell and Virginia Williamson-on front row-Seth Terry,Emmaline Terry and Makaylah Terry

This is our pastor Brian Terry taking
a few pictures.

Here is a picture of the table that was setup. Not all of the foods were set on the table yet. But I received nothing but compliments on all of my recipes. And I want to Thank each and everyone of you for your ideas that you gave me. The menu consisted of the following-Cranberry punch (that was given to me by ohiofarmgirl) Vegetable tray,Meatballs (from Kath)
Chicken wings, baked caramel brie (from Sandy Toes) pigs in the blankets, chips and dip, pretzels, homemade fudge, cream cheese stuffed strawberries, spinach dips w/crackers,roasted pecans and crabbed stuffed mushrooms

Here is the last of our "few" pics. Mary will be sending me more later this week. This is standing-Travis Williamson and sitting-Virgil Cantrell

After we ate we played a game called "Apples to Apples" you can purchase this boardgame at Walmart. If you have never heard of it or played it I recommend you getting this,. We all had a blast playing it.
Well, that is all for now. I hope everyone has a blessed day!
